Finally, after a long pause we are proud to announce our Autumn event: Capoeira Angola, Dances of the Orixás & Candomblé.
On Friday we will be blessed by a talk by Murah Soares on Candomblé, the Afro-Brasilian Religion strongly intertw ined with the roots of Capoeira.
After the talk we have the possibility to watch a dance performance of selected Orixá dances with live percussion.
On Saturday the movements start with the Dances of the Orixás (dances of the Gods of the Candomblé pantheon) with live percussion.
After deepening our understanding of Candomblé practice Mestre Forró will give Capoeira Angola classes.
Combining all we’ve been learning, we close the movement sessions by playing in a Capoeira Roda and celebrate our being togethe r at the Einbaumöbel.
On Sunday we again start with Dances of the Orixás accompanied by live percussion.
Followed by a session of popular cultural dances like tambor de crioula, bumba meu boi and coco wi th live percussion lead by Mestre Forró.
After a Capoeira Angola class by Contramestre Kenneth the cherry on top will be a final Capoeira Roda.
